Industry Insider AlertBianca Whyte Defines Her FutureRecently Bianca was named a finalist in the Queens Plaza Student Design Competition for her Avant Garde creation, “Define the Future”, and will now go in the running to win a once in a lifetime opportunity to do a two week internship with Akira Isogawa. The edgy and unique design of “Define the Future” was aimed to show the curvaceous figure of a woman’s body. The whole garment is made entirely from leather, suede and feathers, which gives the effect of harsh verse elegance. “The contrasting features such as elegant to edgy gave me my name for the garment,” said Bianca Whyte. As well as having a passion for fashion designing, Bianca has been riding motorbikes since the age of four and now races motocross at a national level in Australia. “Having an interest in such totally different areas, made me want to take my skills to the next level and design my own range of motocross gear in the near future,” “This is why I mainly worked with leather in my Avant Garde design, therefore it would give me a better understanding of how leather works and where to make certain design lines,” said Miss Whyte Being taught by the best in the industry has opened a whole new world of fashion to Bianca, where she can express herself through her designs in ways she never imagined. In the future Miss Whyte would like to own her own label in high-end women’s wear, where edgy and unique designs is an understatement.
